Adora dolls are high-quality, remarkably realistic baby dolls. These realistic baby dolls were initially created in the year 2000 by the Adora Doll Company. The crafters who make the dolls are very detail-oriented. The dolls look real. They feel real and they even have a realistic baby scent. The 2000 collection hit the market under the “Name Your Own Baby” campaign. Collectors loved the concept and the dolls have been a staple for avid doll collectors ever since.

The Adora baby dolls are made from vinyl and they are crafted by professional artists. In 2002, artist Beverly Stoher joined the doll company’s team, creating even more uniquely realistic dolls. Un-Ugly Barbie Dolls

I spent all weekend helping my mom clean out her house. She’s something of a pack rat (to put it mildly), so there was quite a lot of junk to go through in her basement. As we were cleaning, I found an old box of toys that my sister and I played with when we were younger. I almost tossed it with the rest of the trash, but have seen too many episodes of “Antiques Roadshow” to actually follow through. Instead, I brought the box home with me to see if there was anything of value in there.

While most of the stuff was indeed junk, I did find two Barbie collector dolls that were still in pretty good shape. I’d heard of people paying big money for these toys, so I decided to do some checking on the Internet to see what my next move should be. After reading through just a fraction of the information available out there, I decided to just hold onto my Barbie collector dolls for the time being. Since they’re not in the best shape, I wouldn’t get a whole heck of a lot of money for them anyway.

As I was looking around online, I couldn’t help but think how fun it would be to start buying Barbie collector dolls for my own daughter. Seeing as how these toys have the potential to increase in value, I’d consider them an investment. As such, I’d keep them in their boxes and put them in storage, hoping that they’ll be worth far more than their $20 price tag a couple decades from now.

So my selling mission turned into a buying one as I searched for websites that offered discount Barbie collector dolls to the general public. I had no idea that there are so many different versions on the market, so I spent several hours poring over the current collection. My favorite collectible Barbie dolls are the ones based on movies like Pirates of the Caribbean, Titanic, Grease, and Mary Poppins. I finally settled on Titanic and Mary Poppins, and actually got a 25 percent discount on my purchase.

I’m certainly no expert when it comes to Barbie Collector Dolls, but that doesn’t mean I can’t offer a piece of advice. If you’re looking to buy one of these, I suggest shopping online. You’ll get the exact same products at much lower prices — all without even leaving your home.
